There are so many beautiful places to visit in Utah. From the mountains to the great salt lake, there is something for everyone! In this blog post, we will discuss some of our favorite places that you should visit when in Utah.
Roy, Utah located in the northeast corner of Utah, is considered to have a dry and hot climate. It sits at the base of the mountains which are full of ski resorts in the wintertime!
One great place to visit while in Roy is Pineview Reservoir. This beautiful lake has boat rentals on it for those looking for some fun water activities or fishing opportunities with a little more action than what you would find in just sitting by the beach all day long!
Another one of our favorite spots includes Hidden Canyon Trailhead right outside Roy. The hike up there can be tough but well worth it when you reach your destination- this canyon offers rock climbing opportunities as well as hiking trails that lead into several different areas along the way!
If you’re not feeling the great outdoors you can always grab a bite to eat at one of the Roy restaurants downtown or head to one of the many galleries and shops that are available in town!
My Favorite Places:
-Hidden Canyon Trailhead
-Roy Restaurants & Shops.
If you’re looking for a little bit more out there, check out these places as well: Zion National Park, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park, Capital Reef National Park.
These parks will offer plenty of hiking trails and scenic views while striking your perfect balance between being able to enjoy nature but also spend some time enjoying an activity with other people too! You can’t go wrong with any place on this list but we think it’s always great to discover local favorites. This way, you’ll have a better idea of what hidden gems your fellow locals love to visit when they’re not at work.
Some of my favorite activities when visiting Roy, UT are A family-friendly trip to the Roy Pioneer Village. Head out for some fishing on beautiful Lake Panguitch (make sure you bring your fly rod and tackle). Go hiking or biking in Bryce Canyon National Park. Be prepared for steep inclines and a lot of elevation gain! The views from the canyon rim are nothing short of spectacular. You’ll be able to see long distances with no obstructions at all — just miles upon miles of red rock canyons below you, monuments jutting up into an endless blue sky above you, and stunning desert landscapes that surround you as far as you can see. This makes it one of the best places to get away from it all.
